The Issues panel currently supports filtering by:
- Assignee (e.g. "Assigned to me")
- Project
All issue statuses are shown together — To Do, In Progress, In Review, Done, custom statuses, etc.

Add a filter by status option to the Jira Issues panel (sidebar tree view), alongside the existing filters for assignee and project.
