These files were released to Lars Vilhuber by the Census Bureau many years ago. They document the datasets available at the time, in structure if not content. While they go back much longer, the latest instance of use was within the Cornell Census-NSF Research Node.
These files are in the public domain, have been vetted by Census Bureau staff (before there was such a thing as a structured DRB sign-off, so no DRB- release numbers!). No warranties. Use at your own risk.
